"Glen Cottage" is a delightful fully renovated and immaculate fisherman-style, self-catering cottage just three minutes' walk from magnificent and internationally recognised Kommetjie Longbeach, Cape Town.

Comfortable sitting and dining room areas are open-plan to a well equipped, fully fitted kitchen. There are two double bedrooms (one with bunks), two bathrooms, and two further single beds on the enclosed verandah. The cottage sleeps six, but the kitchen caters for eight. Facilities: washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, TV with M-net, CD/tape player. The small, enclosed and private garden is charming and has a sparkling pool, shady gazebo with table and benches for outside dining, sun-lounges, sun umbrella, and built-in barbeque.

Ideal either as a quiet getaway or for a happy family holiday, we love this little cottage and we know you will,
too. By day it's a sheltered, restful and private haven in a beautiful garden, and at night the sea is so loud it's
as if you're sleeping in the dunes.
Kommetjie is a magical place with all necessary facilities close at hand, a quaint and characterful seaside
village laid out a century ago amongst the coastal milkwoods surrounding Die Kom (a large protected natural
rocky sea basin). Today the village has extended northwards towards magnificent Longbeach.

You can watch the fishing boats come and go at Die Kom, take a walk to picturesque Slangkop lighthouse or visit the crayfish factory beyond. You can surf world famous waves, take endless wild beach walks and ride horses in the breakers.
You can stock up at Kommetjie Superette, enjoy a pint at the Fisherman's Pub whilst sampling delicious fresh seafood, or try the international flavour of Bistro Incognito or La Vie. Serious shopping, at Longbeach Mall, is about 10 minutes down the road.

Kommetjie lies just 45 mins south of Cape Town and the Waterfront and 60 mins from Cape Town International Airport. Other local activities include Cape Point Nature Reserve and bird watching, the beach, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, hiking, whale watching, and scrumptious seafood sampling.
Picturesque Clovelly and Steenberg golf courses, the Constantia Wine Route and numerous characterful and delicious Kalk Bay and Simonstown restaurants are all under 20 mins away. Table Mountain, World of Birds, Kirstenbosch Gardens and the Waterfront are just a little further.

R550.00 flat rate per night up to 6 persons sharing

- 10% discount for visitors staying more than 7 nights.
- 20% discount for visitors staying 14 nights or more.
- Minimum charge 3 nights (eg: a long weekend).

- A deposit of 30% secures a booking. Balance to be paid a month prior to occupation (or by alternative arrangement).
