        The Stellenbosch Hotel in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa


The Stellenbosch Hotel is a 27 room boutique style hotel that also offers 6 self-catering studio and  two-bedroom apartments. The hotel was built on land granted by Gov. Simon van der Stel between 1692 and 1701. The building was restored in 1987 and has been declared a national monument.

Breakfast in the morning is served in our famous Jan Cats Restaurant where lunch and dinner can be enjoyed from a range of fine local and foreign dishes offered by our a la Carte menu. The Stellenbosch Hotel is also able to offer conference and banquet facilities for groups up to 80 persons.   

The TGCSA 3 star hotel is strategically located in the heart of the beautiful and historical town of Stellenbosch. Museums, art galleries and curio shops are all within safe walking distance. It is the ideal destination from which our guests could explore the heart of South Africa's Wine Country, Franschhoek, Paarl, Cape Town  with Table Mountain, Cape Point, the Waterfront, the Peninsula and the many other attractions offered by the Western Cape.

 

Studio Rooms: All loft-style Studio Rooms have Double beds, en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet, coffee/tea making facilities, room safe, air-conditioning, clock radio, hairdryer, telephone and television.  

Classic Rooms: All Classic Rooms have extra length Double, Queen or Single beds, en-suite bathroom with bath/shower and toilet, bar fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, room safe, air-conditioning, clock radio, hairdryer, telephone and television.

Cape Dutch & Luxury Rooms: Our Cape Dutch and Luxury Rooms have extra length King, Queen or Single Twin beds, en-suite bathroom with bath/shower and toilet, bar fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, room safe, air-conditioning, clock radio, hairdryer, telephone and television.

   

Self Catering Apartments:

Studio Apartments: These bachelor apartments have a bedroom with sitting area, separate en suite bathroom with shower in bath and toilet, safe, fully equipped kitchenette, air-conditioning, television, telephone and private balcony (sleeps 2). R595.00 Per Person Sharing. R895.00 Single Per Night.

Two Bedroom Apartments: The two bedroom apartments have a living room, two bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms with bath, shower and toilet, safe, fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioning, television, telephone and private balcony (sleeps 4). R695.00 Per Person Sharing. R995.00 Single Per Night.

Check in from 2pm. Check out by 11am. 

Reservations & Payment: All bookings must be confirmed in writing by email or fax. A deposit or full pre-payment is required 4 weeks prior to the arrival date, unless other arrangements have been made. When paying via bank transfer the reservation number is required as a reference. Rates are excluding bank fees. The booking will automatically be released if we do not receive payment by the specified due date.

Cancellation Policy:

Individual reservations (3 rooms or less):

Deposits/pre-payments for reservations that are cancelled up to 14 days prior to arrival will be refunded in full at the expense of the operator. A booking being cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival will incur cancellation fees equal to 1 night's accommodation per room. Cancellation on the day of arrival and no shows will incur full cancellation fees.

Group reservations (4 rooms or more):

Deposits/Pre-payments for reservations that are cancelled up to 30 days prior to arrival will be refunded in full at the expense of the operator. A booking being cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival will incur cancellation fees equal to 1 night's accommodation per room. Cancellations on the day of arrival and no shows will be charged for in full.

Child Policy: Children under 2 years stay free of charge when accompanied by 2 adults. Costs for any meals or extras can be settled direct. Children between 2 and 12 years old, accompanied by 2 adults, will be charged 50% of the twin sharing rate.

The Stellenbosch Hotel reserves the right to change the rates, terms and conditions at any given time without prior notice.
