Whale Rock Lodge, with its shining white facade, glowing woodwork and thick heavy thatch, has an air of welcome, warmth and well being. Close to the New Harbour, within sight and smell of the sea, the Lodge is but a three minute walk down to the edge of the cliff and the start of the cliff path, and a five minute drive to the centre of Hermanus. Here can be found endless beaches, famous vineyards, expanses of fynbos, vast varieties of bird life and, of course, from July to November, hugely lolling whales.

There are eleven spacious, individually decorated bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms with bath and separate shower. Each room is stylish, comfortable and well appointed with television, telephone, electric blankets in Winter and a private entrance out to the beautifully manicured gardens, water features and koi ponds. For a relaxing drink before going out to dinner, there is a help-yourself bar in the fire-lit sitting room. Enjoy a relaxing massage in our cosy poolside therapy room and partake of a leisurely breakfast served in the sun room overlooking a large, sparkling, salt water swimming pool.
